"Absolutely brilliant coop. We've had it for two years and it still looks brand new. The fox-proof design gives us real peace of mind — we've had foxes try and fail to get in. Worth every penny."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Total Game-Changer for Our Flock!
We couldn't be happier with our mobile chicken coop! Moving it around the yard is completely effortless, and collecting fresh eggs every morning is seamless and convenient.
The build quality and thoughtful design make daily poultry care a total breeze. Knowing it’s backed by a 10-year warranty gives us complete peace of mind—it's built to last.
If you're looking for a top-tier, easy-to-use coop, this is hands-down the best investment you can make for your chickens. Worth every single star!
Store owner replied:
Your setup looks fantastic in the photos. A mobile coop should make keeping chickens more enjoyable—not create another daily chore—so it’s wonderful to hear that moving, collecting eggs, and looking after your flock are all working so smoothly. We’re grateful you chose us for such an important part of your chickens’ home.
--Adam & Toby
Store owner replied:
Two hens, a new coop, and everyone looks settled already. Lovely little setup.
--Adam & Toby
I got the chicken coop as an outdoor run for my cats! Am near a road so can't let them run free. I managed to assemble the extended coop myself. Instructions were clear and all parts were present. It's lightweight and easy to move. A very clever design.
Store owner replied:
What a clever use for it, your cats look very pleased with their new outdoor run! Great to hear you were able to put the coop together yourself and it’s easy to move around when needed.
-- Adam & Toby
Just an awesome product. Building was a bit tricky due to small screws in small areas but it was doable. Mine was missing hardware for one part but they sent it super fast and responded quickly too. Love how light it is yet sturdy. Recommendations to the company: wish it had side access. And wish the back was double door not just top door. Other than that perfect
Store owner replied:
So pleased it’s working well for you, and the coop looks great in the photo. Sorry about the missing hardware, but we’re glad we could get that sorted quickly. We’ve noted your suggestions around side access and the rear door, feedback like this is really useful.
-- Adam & Toby
Great that I could collect it from my local farmers warehouse store and not pay shipping.
Easy to build and simple instructions to follow.
Light weight and easy to move around yard.
Store owner replied:
Thanks for the feedback! Local pickup, an easy build, and no hassle moving it around — sounds like everything came together nicely. Your chickens look pretty happy with it too.
-- Adam & Toby
Sturdy product and reasonably easy to assemble with well written instructions.
Store owner replied:
Good to see it all together and in use. The strong wire and clear instructions are both important, so it is great to hear they delivered.
--Adam & Toby
Somewhat easy to install. Make certain you follow and understand the detailed instructions. We wish the nuts on the wheels were the locking type. After installation, the nuts fell off one of the wheels. Luckily I had xtra nuts.
Store owner replied:
The photos are much appreciated, and it is good to see the coop set up and in use. Thank you as well for the assembly feedback.
--Adam & Toby
This is a high-quality product. The packaging is world class and the written instructions are detailed. Appreciated that it included every tool needed to assemble!
Definitely easier to assemble with two people. I don't think I've ever put anything that went together this seamlessly - every hole and part aligned perfectly.
Very lightweight unit, easy to maneuver. We like to use it for moving the birds around to scratch up very specific areas for us. This also works awesome as a broody jail or introducing new members to the flock. The 3-section model with only 4 chickens that is more than enough space. Could've gotten the smaller one for only 4 birds. I will feel comfortable putting more birds in there when the time comes. This is not our primary chicken residence, rather an auxiliary coop to give added protection and variety. A very worthwhile investment and we love it.
Store owner replied:
You have clearly put it straight to work. When it is being used for everything from rotation to flock management, that is when it really proves its value. Thanks for sharing!
-- Adam & Toby
Outstanding product very well made!!!
Directions were very easy!!!
Worth every penny!!!
Thank you for a quality product!!!!
Store owner replied:
That is a proud moment, standing behind it once it is all set up! Good to hear the build and everything came together cleanly.
--Adam & Toby
Was easy to put together. One person can do 90% alone. Extra person needed to get all the pieces together, one inside and one outside.
Store owner replied:
Great insight into the build process, and the photos show it up and running nicely. Good to hear it was straightforward to assemble with minimal help.
--Adam & Toby
The Farmyard Chicken Coop (two-bay) is very reasonably priced and easy to assemble. It’s a versatile setup that works well for young chickens right through to adult chooks. I added nesting boxes inside, which fit in nicely. My larger chooks enjoy it just as much as my smaller ones. Another big advantage is that it’s easy to move around, so it doesn’t have to stay in one spot. Even without a lot of strength, I find it simple to shift when needed.
Store owner replied:
Great photo of the chicks. Sounds like you have a really practical setup there, especially being able to use it right through from young birds to full-grown chooks and move it around easily. Thanks for sharing!
-- Adam & Toby
This was a tough assembly for someone with bigger hands at 6 foot and 300 lbs. My wife helped so it was a family project and she loves it. I did buy it for her and her chickens who also seem to like it.
Store owner replied:
Thanks for the review and the photo. Sounds like a proper team effort getting it together. Assembly can vary a bit depending on the person, but it is good to hear you got there and that your wife and the chickens are happy with it.
-- Adam & Toby
Absolutely the best cages, we have 3 now, eventually I will add some extensions to this one, love the design and ease of movement around the yard, they are well made, secure from rodents and snakes, and last forever. Wouldn’t choose another. Thank you Farm N Yard.
It was an easy assemble, followed every single detail in the instructions down to each washer and it works out perfectly, it is actually correctly designed. Took 4 hours, with install of tractor, floors, feeders, nesting boxes, and full clean up of packaging. Built & designed to last I reckon.
Store owner replied:
Great to see the finished setup in your photo. Sounds like you took a thorough approach to the build, which makes all the difference. Glad it came together properly and feels like something that will last.
-- Adam & Toby
Great! Easy to assemble to chicken coop. Glad we opted for the floor after seeing my dog trying to dig under.
Store owner replied:
Really good to see the setup in your photos. Easy assembly is what we aim for, and it sounds like the floor has already paid off with the dog around.
-- Adam & Toby
Store owner replied:
Nice setup, thanks for including the photo! The cover and mobility are two of the big ones for us, so it’s good to hear both are working as they should.
--Adam & Toby
I haven't put my chicks in yet because they're still too little, but I really love this chicken tractor. I did make some alterations. We didn't want to get the fencing material for the bottom because I want them to be able to scratch. So we cut a piece of cattle panel for all the sides and covered that with hardware cloth. They hinge up for moving and are held with bungee cords. I added some hardware cloth to the bottom of the nesting area to keep out predators since the wheels prevented us from putting the cattle panel at the back. We also added another roosting bar because the other two seemed too close together. The only thing I wish we could have had was a door to access the bottom below the nesting boxes. Im placing a dust bath box there and it's hard to get to it.
Store owner replied:
This is a great setup, thanks for sharing the photos and walking through your changes! The hinged panels with hardware cloth is a clever way to keep the scratch area while still adding protection, and adding the extra roost bar makes sense. The access under the nesting boxes is fair feedback, that’s something we can look at improving. Hope the chicks settle into it nicely when they’re ready.
--Adam & Toby
Very sturdy-safe-secure and all the babies love it!
Store owner replied:
Appreciate you adding the photos, your setup looks great! It is always good to see them in a real world setup and the chicks look content in their new space.
--Adam & Toby
The tractor is great. It moves easily even with the four panel extension. Although I’m not sure that even with the extensions, it’s large enough for a dozen chickens. So, I’ve decided to rotate 4-5 at a time. It’s working well and the chicks are enjoying getting out of their run for the day. If customers are buying both the tractor and extension, be sure to open all boxes and read instructions before assembling, because there are specific details in the extension instructions you need to know beforehand. Overall I’m happy with the tractor.
Store owner replied:
We appreciate the detailed review and photo! The extension gives you more room to work with, but managing numbers like you are is what keeps it practical day to day. Good advise on checking all instructions up front too. Glad it’s doing the job.
--Adam & Toby
I had been looking at these chicken tractors for about a year. My chickens do not free range outside of their run as we have too many hungry predators. After checking many other types of mobile coops, I finally made the purchase with Farm and Yard and I am very happy with this wonderful, quality product! It's sturdy, easy to roll, and I feel good about leaving my chickens for long periods of time to forage without having to check on them every few minutes. It did take me about 8 hours by myself to assemble as I made a few errors along the way, but it was worth the effort!
Store owner replied:
That’s exactly the use we had in mind. Being able to move them easily and not worry about what’s lurking around makes a big difference. Appreciate you sticking through the assembly, doing it solo isn’t always quick, but it looks like it came together well in the end.
--Adam & Toby
Been looking for a long time for an unchewable rabbit tractor. Experimented with one of your chicken coops and decided to try some modifications. I changed the floor in the open mesh portion of the tractor to 1/2" flat aluminum bars to make it more comfortable for rabbit hocks and easy for them to get to the grass to eat. The other half I kept the 4" square grid but covered it completely with "rabbit resting boards" again for comfort. Added an aluminum sheet between the two sections with a large upper gap for ventilation and an 8" hole for them to go in and out. Plenty of room to add a nesting box for litters. Bought 3 more coops to do the same.
Store owner replied:
That’s a clever use of the coop. The aluminum bars and resting boards are a solid solution for rabbits, and still keeping airflow and movement between sections is a nice touch. Glad it’s working well enough to double down on a few more.
--Adam & Toby
Had the tractor for about a month now and we love it 7 Rode Island reds laying an average of seven eggs a day is plenty enough for our family. Really love the nesting boxes we bough 4 of them they fight over one of them so we keep two in there at a time and keep the others clean switching them out every week.
Store owner replied:
Appreciate the update after a month of use. Sounds like it’s doing exactly what you need, and the nesting box shuffle is a familiar story. Good system you’ve got there.
--Adam & Toby
Easy to put together and even easier to move around the yard.
Store owner replied:
That’s a great combo, and the photo really shows it set up nicely. Being able to move it around easily is exactly what we designed it to do!
--Adam & Toby
Quality product, great assembly instructions. I’m an independent 82 year old lady and I was able to put this together in a day, with another person it would be half the time. This is just a thought, it would be nice if there was a way to close off the back at night.
Store owner replied:
Really nice to see it all up and in use, and well done on the build. The rear can be closed and secured when needed.
--Adam & Toby
Super easy to put together and the best quality! It's so light with four panels I can lift it with one hand and I'm a small woman. I highly recommend this chicken tractor! Thinking about buying a second!!
Store owner replied:
Appreciate you sharing the photo, always good to see it in use. Great to hear it’s been easy to handle and working well for you.
--Adam & Toby
This product is built tough. It takes a min to put it together by yourself but, it is doable. It's very light and easy to move around. The chickens love it. It needs to be just a little taller. The chickens bump their heads to get in the perch. The extentions are a must have.
Store owner replied:
Really like seeing it all put together. Sounds like it’s been easy to handle once set up, and great to hear the chickens are making good use of it. Appreciate the feedback on the height and add-ons.
--Adam & Toby
We’ve only had ours for a few weeks. Our 9 week olds spent the night outside last night for the first time, and we woke up to find six holes dug around the tractor. Something had been trying to get to them during the night and was unsuccessful. They were all safe and sound when we woke up (thanks to the galvanized steel floor). Great product!
Store owner replied:
That must’ve been quite the first night, glad everyone stayed safe. Really appreciate you sharing the photos too, it’s great to see it set up and doing its job.
--Adam & Toby
Roosting perch was too far back and close to the nesting boxes and the nesting boxes ended up being the chicken toilet. We have to move the perch forward, as shown in the photo. We’ve left one perch as far forward of the nesting boxes as possible and will see if that’s far enough from the chickens when they roost.
We have also found it very difficult to reach into the mobile tractor from the doorway and am thankful we did not get the 4-panel coop because access into the middle of the tractor would have been more difficult. It would have been nice if the second roof panel could be opened with a latch.
Store owner replied:
Thanks for your feedback. The coop allows flexibility with roost placement, though positioning the bars toward the front and nesting boxes at the back tends to help keep eggs cleaner and easier to collect. If eggs do become soiled, a dry wipe is recommended to maintain their natural protective layer.
-- Adam & Toby
I posted some summer and winter. I am happy that I purchased the cover. It really helped with the winter weather. I have a few suggestions to improve the model. Add ways to hang feeders and water. I had to drill a hole to hang my water.
Also a method to get into the bottom of the rear of the coop. There is an access door there for collecting eggs however, now chickens want to lay on the floor. Maybe an extra door? I can collect the eggs by lifting the wheels but I have to get down on the ground to reach in through the bottom mesh.
Store owner replied:
Nice to see it in use year round. Glad the cover helped through the winter.
Really helpful suggestions too. We’ll be taking your feedback on feeder setup and rear access into consideration for future design improvements.
-- Adam & Toby
Arrived earlier than expected. Relatively straight forward to assemble. It would help if there was a stick on label reference for each of the main sections as there is not much difference between roof panels.
Do you provide drinkers and feeders specifically for this product? It would be useful if some provision was made for these items.
I know the hens have to free range but they have to have some total “ chook trailer” time before they can go out.
Store owner replied:
Great to hear it reached you ahead of schedule and came together without too much trouble. That’s a really helpful note on the panel labeling, we can definitely see how that would make things even smoother. We don’t currently offer drinkers or feeders for the coop, but we appreciate you sharing that and will pass it along to the team. Sounds like your chooks are settling into a great routine already.
-- Adam & Toby
This has been great for my mama hen and her new hatchlings. The cover has kept them warm on chilly nights. I also used this coop to house my flock in my garage during an ice storm this past winter. They were warm and safe. It's very easy to move and I put it together myself. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the panels bend very easily so part of my roof is caving a little bit. Just make sure nothing drops on it.
Store owner replied:
Appreciate you posting this and including the photo. It’s great to hear it’s been put to good use, especially in those colder moments. Thanks as well for the honest feedback, it's helpful for others.
-- Adam & Toby
Took a few days off and on to get it all setup but was easy with 2 of us. We put a 2x4 fencing on bottom that we attached with screws, no problems. We have a group of small chickens and a group of larger chickens so they trade off using chicken tractor. Took a while to make entrance door from chicken house but it worked out great. They love love it and safe from critters in woods here. Thank you so much!

Store owner replied:
Thanks for sharing this, Mrs Dawn! The photos say a lot, looks like everything’s settled in nicely. Always great seeing how people make it work for their own setup.

Hello, and thank you so much for our chicken tractor.
It arrived on Thursday, and yesterday (Saturday) my husband and I put it together. I have to say—this really is the Rolls Royce of chicken tractors! The instructions were excellent, and everything was so carefully wrapped and organised that it made the whole process very straightforward.
It did take us a few hours (with some well-earned cake and tea breaks!), but we got there in the end.
We moved our chickens in last night and they already seem very happy—we even had six eggs this morning! Once the bird flu restrictions are lifted in the UK we’re really looking forward to letting them out into the paddock to enjoy some fresh worms.
Thank you again—we’re absolutely delighted with it. Please find some photos attached.
Store owner replied:
This is amazing, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re really glad the instructions and packaging made things easier to put together, even if it took a few breaks along the way. Looks like your chickens are already settling in nicely, which is the best outcome we could hope for. Appreciate you sending through the photos!
-- Adam & Toby
Love it easy to install, no damage to any of the pieces. My girls love it , the roof over the whole cage is a bonus.
Store owner replied:
Everything coming together cleanly with no damaged parts is always a good start. We appreciate you sharing the photo, looks like the girls have made themselves at home!
--Adam & Toby
My new clocks have moved from brooder to the new tractor.
Easy to put up and if you get the concrete its great for the growing chicks to stay warm at night!!
Store owner replied:
Thank you for sharing this. It’s great to hear the chicks have settled into the tractor so well and that the setup worked smoothly for you.
--Adam & Toby
Picked up my Flock of five on 1/31. It was 22 Degrees and did not get above freezing for three days. I had the cover in place and as the Girls were settling in, the water can did not have any ice in it! The cover is EXACTLY as advertised. Have rain coming in a few days and can’t wait to see it work. Great Tractor and Cover, highly recommend!
Thanks
MK
Store owner replied:
That’s fantastic to hear, especially in freezing temperatures. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and photos! It’s great knowing the cover is doing exactly what it’s designed to do. Wishing you and your flock many happy days ahead.

How many chickens fit in the Mobile Chicken Coop?
+
The 2-panel unit comfortably houses up to 4 chickens, the 3-panel up to 6, and the 4-panel up to 8 chickens. We recommend allowing adequate space for your flock's wellbeing, so if in doubt, size up or add an extension panel.

Very easy. Simply lever down the side-mounted wheels and pull the coop to its new position. The lightweight aluminium construction means one person can move it without assistance.
